so Spurs got their man today and that man is Jermaine Jenas 🙄
Though of course it wasn’t Spurs but chairman Daniel Levy that actually wants him, Martin Jol showed no interest in signing him previously saying he didn’t score enough. If scoring was his only problem, does he actually do anything on the field but mince about. And where is the new £7m player going to play with a squad full of talented midfielders, quite a few signed this off season.
In the middle well that’s either Carrick or Davids dropped, right side Tainio has started well and Routledge is to come back after injury and is the real type of winger we need. So that leaves the left, well Spurs have players that can actually use their left foot for that role. Then there’s Davis, Brown, Jackson, Mendes and the very promising Lennon that can also be picked. Though one midfielder the promising Swiss youngster Zeigler has left on loan for the season. So is it £7m for a bench warmer.
I wonder what kind of striker £7m could have got us, with Kanoute being gone and Mido’s appeal against his red card being turned down unless Mounir El Hamdaoui is expected to be fit soon.
In good news they’ve wrapped up the deal to bring PSV Eindhoven defender Lee Young-Pyo to the club for a rumoured £1.35m which is not bad for a seasoned international with good European experience
Well that one came out of the blue the replacement for Kanoute being the last minute signing of Polish international Grzegorz Rasiak from Derby County for about £2.25m
