second 😯

After figuring out their ranking co-efficient, based on the performance at the last 2 World Cups with 2002 being worth double that of ’98 along with the average rankings over the last 3 years, FIFA calculated that England are the number 2 seed for Germany ’06.

Top 8 seeds :

  1. Brazil 64
  2. England 51
  3. Spain 50
  4. Germany 48
  5. Mexico 47
  6. France 46
  7. Argentina 44
  8. Italy 44

Which thankfully means England will miss out an all the above in the first round group stages.

Maybe the win over Argentina wasn’t the make or break game after all.
