the Hammond B-3 Organ.
Another email from Bill Ruppert saying he’s got another video up, so as he’s cracking on It means I’ll have to in the hope of catching him up. So here’s the fourth volume of Bill’s Effectology series of videos, where gets non guitar sounds out of a standard guitar and some Electro-Harmonix effects pedals.
This episode is the standard keyboard for any self respecting rock, prog, blues-rock band in the 1960s and 1970s the Hammond B-3 Organ. A basic sound Bill gets from just two pedals a HOG and Soul Preacher. You can add a rotating speaker, Leslie simulation pedal for extra realism, such as a phaser, chorus, vibrato pedal.
Bill has laid out the settings for the two main pedals and the extras you can use here.
