Sad but not unexpected news about the death of Glen Campbell, aged 81, six years after it was announced he had Alzheimer’s disease.
Starting out as a session musician, with The Wrecking Crew, Campbell was a jack of all trades and a master of many and that cat could play guitar.
You’ll have heard all the standout Campbell tracks elsewhere, the Jimmy Webb written classics “By the Time I Get to Phoenix”, “Galveston” and “Wichita Lineman” and the later hits “Rhinestone Cowboy” & “Southern Nights”.
So here I’m just posting Campbell ripping it on the guitar.
