in the hall.
Great news that Mariano Rivera has become the first player to be unanimously voted into the baseball hall of fame, where he’ll be joined by Mike Mussina.
No one stuffed up this vote, in a world where some of the greats of the game didn’t get within 5% of getting every vote, the voters finally got one right with Mo.
They got it right with Moose as well, the first pitcher in American League history to win 10 or more games in each of 15 consecutive seasons, yeah I know wins is doubtful stat with some but he pitched in the hardest division.
And Mo, what can you say about Sandman? The greatest and the nicest, always remember the story of Mo signing a ball for a kid and after putting his moniker on it, blowing the ball so that the ink had dried and the kid didn’t get a smudged souvenir. A class act.
That one pitch, the cutter, everyone knew what was coming and they nearly all failed to deal with it, most with a freshly broken bat. A pinstripe God.
