Finally in some good news Gareth Southgate has resigned as England manager after another final failure that was helped on by his dullard management.
Only a few years too late, or England could have retained the Euro trophy on Sunday night instead of yet again playing Southgateball.
The video above sums up Southgate’s England. One all, England have just equalised and are on the front foot, adjacent to the opposition box and Walker puts in a long throw… to the halfway line and it doesn’t even take three passes before it’s at Pickford’s feet before he launches it towards absolutely no one.
People are still defending this. Saying there was no one Walker could have thrown it to. Obviously just forgetting the two he launched into the box that led to a goal just a few days ago. But I suppose, they’ve seen Walker do that so infrequently, while watching him throw it back to the halfway line so much, they might have forgotten.
But then so many watched this video with surprise. It’s like they’ve never watched an England game with Walker before. This is his thing. Apart from those two throws put into the box against Slovakia, every throw in the opposition half goes backwards. How many times have I said it in a post here, or on the X/Twitter?
And that is why Southgate will not be missed. Hell, even free kicks in the opposition half tend to go backwards. People forgetting that just before Spain scored the winner he was gonna bring on Conor Gallagher again. Gonna go defensive and play for pens.
He’s a dullard. A dullard player, a dullard club manager, a dullard TV pundit and a dullard national manager. And one of those is very important to why we got here. A dullard TV pundit. Too many mates in the media that didn’t call this shit out over the last 8 years.
Too many of them talk up the rubbish, too many don’t want to be mean to their chum.
It’s funny listening to the likes of Gary Neville slag off Cucurella while talking up Southgtate, Walker, Stones, Foden, Bellingham, Saka. Well, one of them has a big shiny trophy. But then they’ll bang on about not qualifying before Southgate turned up, hell, I mean, even dullard Woy qualified and others didn’t have the players available to them that Southgate has over his tenure. Players Southgate hasn’t got the best out of because he’s a dull coward.
Whoever replace Southgate needs to have some guts and balls… to go forward and to pick a team, not a collection of names from big name clubs.
