Ange’s Spurs 16th league loss of the season, saw them go down one nil to a recently up and down Chelsea, in another clueless display of looking uncoached, while Ange’s thin skin showed again.
Sixteen league defeats after just 30 games, Ange has another 8 games to break the current Spurs’ Premier League record for losses, which is held by ol’ Ossie Ardiles in 93/94 and Hoddle/Pleat in 03/04 with 19.
In contrast in the three seasons between ’15 and ’18 Poch lost 17 league games.
But injuries and eight games a week the Angesexuals scream. Well, you guys said it would be so much better when Odobert was available and Ange had some time with the squad. Well, the players are back and he had time after the international break, not having a cup game to bother about at the weekend.
And this is what they got. Yet another gormless display that looked exactly like the ones when the players were injured and there was a quick turnaround between games.
And it started early. Oh hell, seconds in and that would have been a real clown show of a goal. Long ball and it bypasses everyone, splits the central defence, Romero is looking to play the attacker and give away a foul, Vicario plays the ball off Micky van de Ven and the Dutchman hits the post. Chelsea had a number of really good chances that they weren’t putting away. Could this be a classic smash and grab? Amazingly the half ended with no goals. They had numerous chances, Spurs on paper had a couple but again looked toothless and clueless in attack.
Ange’s half-time team-talk worked wonders yet again. Five minutes in and Chelsea scored what turned out to be the winner. Palmer who had gone seven games with a goal involvement, goal or assist, swings a cross in for an easy header by Fernandez. While the two centre-backs are marking the same striker, the one striker who they eventually let go just in case there isn’t a goal but say a rebound. While the scorer has Udogie behind him. Obviously getting lessons from Solanke.
Shortly after it was two but they got lucky and it was chalked of for offside.
Ange made his changes, Sarr and Johnson for Odobert and Bergvall. To chants of “you don’t know what you’re doing”. Shortly after Ange was cupping his hand to his ear at the fans. His hubris didn’t last long as Sarr’s screamer was chalked off for a foul. A foul that took the ref an age to figure out, even though it was bleeding obvious from just one look at the replay. Yet the ref needed numerous looks.
With a minute of normal time remaining the Chelsea keeper made a save from Son to prevent an equaliser. Earlier, while giving everyone kittens with the ball at his feet, Vicario had made the saves to keep it at one nil. One save in particular.
The ref gave them another 12 minutes of added time, to do nothing.
For Ange to then embarrass himself by claiming the “abuse” doesn’t get to him. Yeah, right, mate, you skin thinned fraud, while also claiming his ear cupping was to “hear the fans celebrate” the goal. What a fraud.
