Ange finally admits all Spurs’ league problems

Palace DOMINATE Spurs PREMIER LEAGUE Highlights | Tottenham Hotspur 0-2 Crystal Palace

are all the fault of him still being here.

Ange’s Spurs lost their 20th league game, their ninth at home, to a Palace who did the league double over them for the first time as one team look in better contention for their cup final.

Both sides came into this game with a cup final looming, yet it was Palace whose final is less than a week away who put out the strong side, it was Palace who put out a side that looked like they were fighting for that cup place and creating a momentum going into the final.

Spurs final is the Wednesday after, 10 days from this game, yet, here was Ange putting out the weakened side, where non of them stuck their hand up and said “pick me”, as the Fat Aussie Fraud was outcoached again.

But Ange had his excuses ready. It’s all the fault of the Caraboa Cup and Europa League run, that the league form has plummeted in 2025 and you know what, he’s actually right this time. It is due to these two cup runs, because if Spurs hadn’t enjoyed getting to the semi-final of the League Cup and the final of the Europa, then Ange would have been sacked months ago, which would have resulted in an uplift of the league form.

Ange finally admits, Spurs’ problems are all due to Ange still being here.

Two nil flattered Ange’s home team. Palace could have been out of sight before they actually opened the scoring with a goal that stood. It was nice build up by Palace to go along with nonexistent defending from Spurs, that saw Eze put the ball in the net, only for it to be chalked offside, a few minutes in.

In between shots on goal, Palace had the ball in the back of the net again. This time from a corner and again Spurs got lucky, as the goal bound attempt hit a Palace player’s arm before going in and so was ruled out by VAR.

The only surprise when Palace too the lead was that it had taken so long, 45 minutes on the clock when pretty much the same move that had caused Spurs problems all half, the same move that should have resulted in numerous goals, was used again. Out to the right wingback, bombed on, cut back and this time Eze scores without any infringements.

One home half of football and Palace had racked up 15 shots to Spurs’ 4. On target, it was 7 to 1.

And we had the post Ange half-time team-talk lull to go. It didn’t take Palace long after this to double their advantage. The only difference being it was Sarr rather than Munoz on the right that cut the ball back to Eze.

It was Palace who were gonna add a third, rather than Spurs mount a comeback. Kulusevski had already gone off early in the first half, for Moore. Bissouma for Bentancur at half time, made no difference and Sonny’s introduction after a few weeks out made no impact. He again looked slow and dithering. Not the Sonny that’s lit up this stadium so many times before.

Thoroughly outplayed by Palace. Ange thoroughly outcoached by Glasner .

Spurs dropped to 17th. The worst team not relegated and are lucky there was three worse teams or that possibility was very much there. Can they beat the team that also lost 2-0 at home to drop to 16th, in that final?

In the Premier League, since that run of 10 unbeaten games that started Ange’s reign, Spurs have played 64 games. They’ve lost exactly half of them. They’ve lost 24 games in all competitions this season, which is just one off their all time record, from the ’91/’92 season.

And Ange keeps acting like he’s the greatest manager that’s ever walked this earth…
