two weeks running now.
Jermaine Jenas again played a major part in Spurs’ result at the weekend. Following on from last weeks goal and assist against Everton he score a screamer of a free kick to gain a point at Old Trafford against ManUre.
I’m, along with Martin Jol, going to have to slag Jenas off a bit more if this is going to be the result.
Funny the way things are haven’t won at Old Trafford for 16 years haven’t scored there for 5 years – well except Pedro Mendes’ goal that wasn’t last season – and yet feeling that we should have come away from there with more because of the way Spurs can play not the way they did.
With ManUre looking a one man team, Rooney, and Spurs with a core of 7 young English players I had them down for a win but first half they weren’t up with the pace and were certainly knocked back by the MU goal. Looked a bad error by Robinson, Martin Jl thinks otherwise.
If you look carefully it wasn’t a mistake. The ball was skidding off the ground, he didn’t drop the ball Martin Jol
You have to say if it was an error it was the first of the season, for Spurs or England and hopefully it got it out of his system for some time to come.
If the first half was ManU’s then the 2nd was certainly Spurs, if only they’d played that way from the first whistle. Yes they had their chances but after Jenas scored with the free kick to equalise what could have happened if Carrick’s effort had crept under the bar not hit it, add to that the numerous penalty decisions not given against MU – there’s a suprise at OT – and like last season it’s what if…
Two dropped points allowed Charlton to go above Spurs into 2nd place in the league and they have to avoid defeat against the ARSEnal next week to drop below them.
Jenas is sounding confident
Bring on Arsenal, that is what I say
They are a great team and we have a lot of respect for them but we are very confident and, on home soil, why shouldn’t we fancy our chances Jermaine Jenas
Again another one man team, but that one does tend to do well against us and may have got their stupidity out of their system with that “penalty” against Man City. I’m with Distan on this one, was well out of order and disrespectful to a team who were only one behind and should have gone away from Highbury with at least a point. Oh and why when Henry calls Pires Robert why do commentators always say Roberrr ?
It’s good to see Wigan doing so well, up to 4th, far better them being in the Premiership than whinging dullards like Birmingham, Middlesbrough, West Brom and scummy dullards like Blackburn – I sense these teams all have a connection 😆
