the Halloween edition.
With his latest Effectology volume Bill Ruppert has decided to use his Ibanez Jem a few well chosen Electro-Harmonix effects pedals to make some weird non-guitar noises just in time scare off those pesky kids at Halloween.
Starting with the classic Twilight Zone intro music, through the sound of time ticking away, the bell tolling for thee, to a windswept graveyard, you hear voices from the other side, in the distance you hear Igor at the organ in the castle, while his master is at work in the laboratory*, where you find a small girl throwing up green soup, swearing at a priest and doing strange things with her head**…
You can get all the settings Bill used for the various wild and wonderful sounds heard above HERE.
* The classic creepy movie staple the Theremin.
** The Exorcist theme from Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells. Though I have to say I found that particular film to be one of the most boring over hyped I’ve ever watched.
