James Marshall Hendrix

Jimi Hendrix Experience at The Lulu Show || Red House Live at Stockholm || Little Wing live in Stockholm 1968 || Catfish Blues & Hoochie Coochie Man (BBC Sessions) || Power of Soul (Jimi Hendrix: Machine Gun: Fillmore East 12/31/1969)

died 40 years ago today.

September 18th 1970 in a basement bedroom at the Samarkand Hotel in Notting Hill Gate, London. He would now be 67, a pensioner, have his bus pass, just can’t picture it.

You should know all the tracks, you should have the three Experience albums – Are You Experienced, Axis: Bold as Love, Electric Ladyland – you should also have Band of Gypsys and some of the posthumous releases – always liked the “Radio One” BBC sessions album because of the rawness.

…could just add more and more tracks because Jimi Hendrix changed music for ever and for the better…
