Ange has 90 minutes

Bergvall Own-Goal Sinks Spurs | AZ Alkmaar 1-0 Tottenham | UEFA Europa League Highlights

to save his boast.

Ange’s boast about winning a trophy in his second season at a club is hanging by a thread, as his last hope was hit by yet another defeat and another dismal display, going down 1-0 away to AZ Alkmaar.

Alkmaar sit sixth in the top flight, nine points behind a team that was thumped 7-1 in the CL by a team that could only muster 3 shots on target in their previous two PL games.

Alkmaar are not that good and that’s why Spurs and Ange came away from the Netherlands with that little glimmer of hope, that a 1-0 scoreline brings. Lucky. Lucky that the shots they had, only a third were on target and Vicario was able to save most of ’em. Lucky that for all Alkmaar’s dominance and shots, they actually never looked like racking up a score.

Even with former Spur Parrott up front and having plenty of shots, certainly looking more like a striker than Ange’s latest squeeze. Yes, again Ange’s choices didn’t work. Tel up front, Gray and Danso playing on the wrong side. But then others looked like they weren’t working for Ange. Maddison and Son have packed it in. They know this loser isn’t gonna be around much longer.

It was a fitting winning goal. Another goal conceded to a corner. Knocked back and Bergvall just has a wild swipe and it loops up and over in the back post, over the leaping Spence. Load of white shirts there and not a one of them looked like they knew what they were doing. Angeball.

That and a free-kick routine later half an hour in really summed up Spurs. Maddison and Son making a right mess of something that should have been direct. And that’s it. That’s your report on a game in which Spurs manage one shot on target all game and that came in the 89th minute and looked more like a cross at one point than an actual attempt on goal, from Odobert.

It just took Solanke hobbling off for the Ange trifecta.

And to top it all off the Aussie Fraud blamed the pitch at the end. God he is such a joke.

Could he be gone by this time next week. If he doesn’t win the reverse fixture, what’s the point of keeping him? No trophy. That’s what he was brought in to deliver. That’s what he boasted about. If he’s out of his third cup competition in a little over a month then surely even Levy can see the fraud needs to go…
