don’t lose.
Spurs managed not to lose their third straight Premier League game with another clueless performance, drawing away to Nottingham Forest but still can’t score.
Imagining the dogs abuse Thomas Frank would be getting after another dismal performance to start the league season, especially after all the big spending. Big spending whose flaws have been highlighted yet again.
All Spurs seemed interested in was more and more wingers, whatever you may think, Marmoush really isn’t a central striker, he’s a 10 or wide player. Meanwhile they go into a game like this with no real central striker to hold up the ball while humping up long balls to no one in particular.
Now Richarlison is now in exile, we’re left with Solanke and there’s people out there that think this one season dolt is gonna be the saviour.
De Zerbi started this game much in the way Frank went, with yet another bunch of line up changes. So far we’ve had a different midfield trio in each game – if only Bentancur could pass the ball forward a bit more and not do those stupid challenges in and around the area – three different right wingers, two different fullbacks on both sides. Yet one left winger has started each game. You know the really rubbish one, who has been really rubbish in every game.
Surprising to no one a team with Gallagher and Tel produced nothing. Yes, there were shots, almost as many of the home side – and over half of them came from the defence – but not a single one on target.
There was nothing on target about any of it. It was all the same, aimless, clueless, lifeless, rubbish seen so far this league season, along with last season. Is there actually any set out plan and if so was it those humps up the park? Is there any style?
Can it actually get any better, without someone to put the ball in the back of the net, with constant changes, with no life to the team, with Tel?
As for the chalked off handball goal, would Glasner be upset if it was the other way round. Not if it was chalked off, yes if it was allowed, so spare us.
