It’s Headingley, overnight rain, bit of humidity in the air, touch of cloud about, England have subtracted one from the batting lineup, they’ve added one to the bowling attack, so lengthened the tail, all the old fast bowlers fingers are twitching, everyone with a Yorkshire county cap and accent knows what to do.
But two, one with a Southern England / African mix and the other with a Zimbabwe voice decide – “I know we’ll go in and set them a target” 🙄
Was it a decision made because Matt Prior could do with a bit of rest after he had back spasms following the morning warm up playing football – something they said they wouldn’t do after Anderson injured himself 18 months back. Deserves another 🙄
