Sad news that Stephen Furst who played Kent “Flounder” Dorfman in Animal House has died aged 63.
Perfectly cast as Flounder and then in a somewhat similar, nice but bumbling, role as Dr. Elliot Axelrod in St. Elsewhere, always on the wrong side of William Daniels as Dr. Mark Craig.
Don’t know how many times I’ve seen Animal House but the midterm grade scene where he throws up on John Vernon as dean Wormer and his revenge on Neidermeyer’s horse are classics.
