a ragbag mixture of stuff off the telly.
Thursday night’s viewing was a trio of oddbod films that I’d recorded over the last few months but never got round to watch. A couple from Talking Pictures and one from Rewind TV.

It commenced with a British oddity from the early 80s, “The Appointment” (1982). With Edward Woodward it started off as a TV movie it was then gonna be a cinema release but ended up being put out on video. It was a strange one.
A warning to parents: never disappoint Daddy’s girl. Ian misses his daughter’s violin concert. But Joanne is no ordinary teen girl and Ian has to contend with rather more than childish sulking. Strange forces permeate the household. IMDb
Thursday continued with “Mardi Gras Massacre” (1978). A cheaply made slocker, that was so bad it was… bad. Some of the acting was so unbelievably bad, female uniform cop stumbling over her lines was excruciating, while I’m sure one guy, antiquities professor, was reading it from a sheet on his desk.
Police try to capture someone who is committing ritual murders of women during Mardi Gras in New Orleans. IMDb
Speaking of cheap rubbish, Thursday concluded with “My Brother’s Wife” (1966). You know what a flick is gonna be like when the IMDb page has absolutely no photos of the cast next to their names.
A man’s wife starts having an affair with her brother-in-law, who is temporarily staying at their apartment. IMDb
