why can’t Tuchel and his “teammates”?
All they need to do is feed the goat and he will score, it’s what he does and they only did it twice against DR Congo to save England from flying home.

In two moments Anthony Gordon equaled Jude Bellingham’s tournament assists record, with two. Two over four tournaments, 28 games. Well you don’t get to stand there in front of the crowd with your arms spread for playing someone else in to score.
And there it is another clueless, ego driven display by Tuchel’s England, wingers and midfielders wanting glory over team success, meant that with 15 minutes to go they were facing a humiliating departure in the round of 32. Even Southgate didn’t manage that.
Of course Tuchel won’t criticise his chosen ones. The first of Harry’s brace camee from yet another overhit ball from Rice but while Tuchel shouted his usual abuse at Spence, Rice got a free pass and was moved to right back when Spence was hooked. No doubt it was for his set pieces – greatest corner taker in the world according to Lee Dixon – that Rice remained on the pitch, when they were awful. Either over hit or hit the first defender. Utter rubbish.
But Tuchel doesn’t like Spence, who is an easy target because Tuchel’s media chums don’t like him either. So we got him blamed for the opening goal from DR Congo. Yeah the guy left to defend two players, because no one else was covering Wissa in the middle, the central pair were missing, the midfield trio were missing, so couldn’t cover the scorer while Madueke stood there yards away impassively doing nothing. Yeah, let’s blame the guy that actually tried to defend.
Madueke, there’s another one Tuchel won’t go after. Another awful performance from an awful player. God he is clueless. How many runs from other players does he just ignore because he’s looking for personal glory or the simple coward’s sideways ball?
But then he’s not alone there. Again the abuse for Spence but he’s spent most of this World Cup making runs on either wing that the winger has ignored to just cut inside and have a shot.
England were hindered by the Congo keeper, who was having an outstanding day until he was just a bit weak with Harry’s header. Gordon’s clip – makes a change him not going for glory – and Kane knows what to do. Where to run, where to put the header.
His second came from Gordon cutting in and someone finally playing the ball to Kane’s feet in and around the box, he only needs that bit of space, which he found and bang another one in the net. Keeper, no matter how good he’d been, had no chance.
With that he moved ahead of Pele into joint sixth on the all time World Cup goal scoring record table. With a better goals to game ratio of the said Brazilian great, along a better ratio than three of those ahead of him, Ronaldo – the original Brazilian one – Khlose and Messi.
Just imagine how many goals Kane could have if he had teammates who played for team glory, not individual glory.
So it’s Mexico in Mexico, a very different prospect. Played 4, won 4, goals for 8, goals against 0. But that’s nothing compared to the Azteca stadium, they’ve played 89 competitive matches there and they’ve only lost two. They’ve never lost a World Cup game there.
